  1. Mason had lots of thoughts that he wanted to express, but he couldn’t write that well, so he went to his counselor and she brought him a machine with a microphone. She told him that he could speak into it and his words would be printed out on a sheet. Mason was amazed by it.

  2. I would read other books by Leslie Conner because I liked The Truth As Told By Mason Buttle. Normally when an author writes something I like I like other books by the same author.

  4. I would read another book by Leslie Connor. I would because I like how she makes the characters seem like they could be real people. I also like how she has her characters have real life problems that some people may have. In the book, she describes what the characters look like which helps me picture what they look like in my mind. I like when authors do that because it sometimes helps me understand the book better. She might do those things in her other books.

  7. I would read another book of Leslie Connor’s. I loved her book All Rise to the Honorable Perry T. Cook. It was on the Rebecca Caudill list two years ago. I also thought that this book was inspiring. I loved Mason despite his sweat, and I loved his sad mystery. I felt sorry for him right away and I celebrated with him when the police finally found out that he didn’t murder his best friend. I also loved Moony almost as much as Mason did.
