  1. I think the committee thought it would be a good idea to have this book in the selection because it acts as a warning of our choices before we’ve made the wrong ones.

  3. I think the committee though it would be a good idea to include this book because of Jades’s struggles. Jade was poor and she was black and overweight. However she learned how to accept herself. She created beautiful art that inspired people and she rose to challenges. She is a good role model for us.
