Most 6th graders think, “Duh – Keep, Change, Flip” to divide fractions.

A mathematician would say, “Multiply by the reciprocal.”

Thanks to some student help, we were able to model in class what a reciprocal looks like!

We are closing in on our first Summative Assessment of the year. We used some “Kung OoOps” to help us review Order of Operations!

1st Hour – Division

3rd Hour – Subtraction

4th Hour – Parenthesis

5th Hour – Multiplication

6th Hour – Addition and then Exponent
