I liked this book and i thought it was really sweet. I liked the parts where amber was able to see how much her little sister has grown since she’s been gone. I also thought it was just a very fascinating concept in general. I would reccomend this book to someone else.

I really enjoyed this book and found it very mysterious and entertaining. When I heard about the book, I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that Amber was returning seven years later! I appreciated the different viewpoints in the story to reveal how different people handle grief and things in their own way. I found it interesting how Amber didn’t remember the seven years since she passed, but it makes a little sense and adds to the mysterious plot.

I think this is an excellent concept, but I wish that the author had taken the time to fully develop each of the characters. Melissa was the only character who didn’t have only surface to her personality. The feelings I have for this book are pretty mixed; it’s not my favorite, but also not the one I don’t like.

I have mixed feelings about this book. The concept hooked me, and there were, ultimately, some parts of the book I really liked. I loved the scene about Arnold at the animal shelter. I liked the relationship between Amber and her younger sister, Melissa, and found the revelation of what had brought Amber back both moving.

This book was okay. I didn’t love or hate it. It was the pinnacle of middle-of-the-road. Amber arriving home like nothing had happened after ‘dying’ reminded me a lot of the movie ‘Flight of the Navigator’, and I love that movie, so this part of the plot felt like a cheap copy of it to me, even though I highly doubt that that was the intention. Every character felt extremely self-centered. The only person with any depth to their characterization was Amber’s sister. Overall I felt like this book left a lot to be desired. Solid 5/10.

Overall, I thought this book was pretty good. I liked how it showed the perspective of all the different characters. I also like how all the characters came together at the end. I wonder why Amber didn’t remember the seven years since she died.
